Julio Ibarra

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on May 16, 1974, Julio Ibarra has spent over 25 years bringing stories to life through his captivating illustrations and masterful caricatures. With a deep passion for art and a sharp eye for detail, his work has reached audiences worldwide, leaving an indelible mark in the realms of publishing, animation, and live events.
Julio's artistic journey began at Casa de Cultura Americana before earning prestigious degrees as a National Master of Ceramics and Drawing from the renowned Manuel Belgrano School of Fine Arts. He refined his skills further with over a decade of academic training in Human Figure Drawing at Estímulo de Bellas Artes and specialized in caricature at the Garaycochea School.
His illustrations have graced the covers of books, magazines, and newspapers, collaborating with notable media outlets such as:

Beyond the canvas, Julio is a passionate educator, teaching caricature at the Severo Vaccaro Museum and sharing his expertise through lectures and workshops in Argentina, Uruguay, and Ecuador.
His work has earned international acclaim, becoming part of private collections in Spain, France, Romania, Germany, Canada, the United States, Ireland, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and beyond. He is the author of Geometría, published by XUPUY Ediciones (Ecuador) and printed by Brandstudio Press LLC (New York).
Currently, he continues to make an impact as the cover illustrator for Realidad Económica magazine, having reached an impressive milestone of 150 cover illustrations, while also producing work for publications in Panama.
