Carlos Muslera

Visual artist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1961.

He studied Art History with José Emilio Burucúa; Printmaking with Martha Gavensky; and Painting and Drawing with Alejandro Boim and Peter Sussmann at MEEBA, the Pérez Celis Foundation, Martín Riwnyj, and other artists.

He has held solo and group exhibitions at the Eduardo Sívori Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts of Luján, the Museums of Fine Arts and Contemporary Art of Salta, the Ledesma Museum, the José Antonio Terry Museum in Tilcara, the Municipal Museum of Visual Arts of Concordia, and the Provincial Museum of Arts of La Pampa; as well as at Casa de la Cultura in Tigre, the General San Martín, Recoleta, and Borges Cultural Centers; the Pasaje 865 Foundation; the National Library and the Buenos Aires National College; and the art galleries Alejandro Bustillo (Banco Nación), Arcimboldo, Sara García Uriburu, Fino638, Pérez Quesada, Central Newbery, Alfredo Cataldo Contemporary Art, Espacio Céfiro, among others.

He participated in auctions at the Eduardo Sívori Museum of Fine Arts, La Noche de los Museos (Museum Night), the Borges Centennial, Expotrastiendas, Arte Lamroth, and other events.

In the United States, he exhibited at International Village Gallery in San Francisco, Chapman University, SOLART Gallery in Los Angeles, and DaSilva Gallery in New Haven. He also participated in the Artist Book Fairs at MoMA and Art On Paper in New York, at Art Market San Francisco, and at Art Basel Miami.

In Germany, he exhibited at Landmann 31 Gallery and Bunker K101 in Cologne, and at the Argentine Consulate in Bonn. He took part in the Kunstroute Ehrenfeld 2020 and Veedelieben Köln 2023 festivals.

He conducted the workshop “Argentine Art Today” at California State University and led Drawing and Painting seminars at Chapman University and the Pasaje 865 Foundation.

His works are part of collections in Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Spain, the United States, France, the Netherlands, England, Italy, Peru, and Venezuela.
