Karina Carrescia is an Italian-Argentinean visual artist, professor of arts, and researcher specializing in Latin American art, hailing from a multigenerational family of artists originally from Pavia, Italy.

She completed her artistic training at the National School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires under Alejandro Boim's mentorship. Additionally, she pursued the International Postgraduate Course in Arts and Culture Management at Flacso, Argentina.

Her professional experience includes educator and academic director roles in Argentina and Italy. Karina has expanded her artistic skills by becoming a Visiting Lecturer at Accademia SantaGiulia di Brescia and the International School of Arts in Italy. Additionally, she collaborates in the conservation and restoration of artwork, working alongside the renowned restorer Dolores González Pondal.

Her works have been exhibited in museums and galleries across Argentina, Italy, the United States, Finland, the United Kingdom, and Spain. She has participated in numerous art competitions, earning
awards and honorable mentions.

Her contemporary paintings delve deeply into landscape themes, drawing inspiration from the magnificence of natural vistas and the transformative power of color. Each piece captures the interplay between light, texture, and atmosphere, inviting the viewer into immersive worlds shaped by her unique vision.

In addition to her landscapes, her hype realistic works stand out for their ability to tell intimate and personal stories through everyday objects. These pieces go beyond mere representation, uncovering layers of meaning and emotion that connect the ordinary to the profound.

Moreover, she dedicated herself to a research-based project on Sacred Arts in the Americas for four years. This work highlights local symbols, flora, and fauna and was exhibited at the Museum of
the Cathedral of La Plata—a project that even reached Pope Francis's hands.

Her art weaves together tradition, emotion, and storytelling, offering viewers a vibrant connection to both the sacred and the everyday.
