Julian de la Mota

Julian de la Mota (Buenos Aires, 1984) is a visual artist whose work bridges the personal and universal, delving into the deep emotional and
cultural symbols that shape human experience. With a degree in Visual Arts from UNA and over a decade of exhibitions, his art spans multiple mediums—drawing, painting, and contemporary visual forms.

Renowned for his thoughtful deconstruction of Western symbols, his work reveals the subtle ways culture and belief systems intertwine. His pieces have earned awards in prestigious national and international competitions, including the National
Salon of Visual Arts and the National Fund for the Arts.

In 2019, Julian de la Mota expanded into illustration, creating evocative visuals for the 2020 Spanish translation of Dante Alighieri’s Inferno. His art has been showcased in galleries across Buenos Aires, throughout Argentina, and internationally, with his work featured in key publications and catalogs worldwide.

Driven by the unconscious and imagination, Julian de la Mota explores the power of symbols
and aesthetic atmospheres to narrate stories, challenge perceptions, and evoke introspection. His art invites viewers to engage with the deeper layers of culture, belief, and personal identity.
